Virtual High School Program
ATTENTION: MHPSA Virtual School Students,
Read important details regarding the required check-in schedule for all virtual school students at Muskegon Heights Public School Academy. Please review the following information carefully.
In Person Check-In Schedule
Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
Time: 3:30 PM - 8:00 PM
All students are required to check in with Ms. Locke in person at least once per week for a minimum of one hour during the designated times. Virtual students are encouraged to attend daily. Any student who fails to meet the minimum attendance requirement will be unenrolled from the program.
These check-ins are essential for:
Maintaining Regular Communication
Two-way communication between students and Ms. Locke is critical to your academic success and receiving ongoing support in the virtual learning environment. Failure to communicate will result in students being unenrolled from the program.
Monitoring Academic Progress
Check-ins allow Ms. Locke to track your progress, address any challenges you may encounter, and provide timely assistance.
Building a Supportive Learning Community
Regular interactions foster a sense of connection and support within the virtual school community.
NWEA Testing Requirement
For integrity purposes, all NWEA testing must be completed on-site at the school. No exceptions will be made.
Check-In Methods
Ms. Locke will provide specific details on how to conduct your check-ins. These may include:
In-person once a week
Video Conferencing Platforms: Google Meet.
Messaging Platforms: Edgenuity, Google Chat, or email.
Edgenuity: Completing assignments, participating in discussions, or finishing quizzes within the platform.
