Virtual High School Program

ATTENTION:  MHPSA Virtual School Students,

Read important details regarding the required check-in schedule for all virtual school students at Muskegon Heights Public School Academy. Please review the following information carefully.

Virtual Check-In Schedule

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 3:30 PM - 8:00 PM

During these designated times, all students must check in virtually with Ms. Locke, your virtual teacher. These check-ins are essential for:

  1. Maintaining Regular Communication
Two-way communication between students and Ms. Locke is critical to your academic success and receiving ongoing support in the virtual learning environment. Failure to communicate will result in students being unenrolled from the program.

Monitoring Academic Progress
Check-ins allow Ms. Locke to track your progress, address any challenges you may encounter, and provide timely assistance.

  1. Building a Supportive Learning Community
Regular interactions foster a sense of connection and support within the virtual school community.

NWEA Testing Requirement

For integrity purposes, all NWEA testing must be completed on-site at the school. No exceptions will be made.

Check-In Methods

Ms. Locke will provide specific details on how to conduct your check-ins. These may include:

  • In-person once a week

  • Video Conferencing Platforms: Google Meet.

  • Messaging Platforms: Edgenuity, Google Chat, or email.

  • Edgenuity: Completing assignments, participating in discussions, or finishing quizzes within the platform.

To participate successfully in virtual check-ins, you must have reliable internet access and the necessary technology (e.g., district-issued computer or tablet). If you experience technical difficulties or have any questions about the check-in process, please contact Ms. Locke.
