Young 5's Program

"Where Little Cubs Roar Big Dreams!"

Edgewood’s Young 5 Program is where our youngest learners begin their journey of growth, exploration, and discovery. Designed as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten, our program provides a nurturing and structured environment to help Little Cubs build confidence, independence, and foundational skills for future success.

Rooted in the values of Caring, Understanding, Unique, Brave, and Successful (CUBS), we focus on the whole child, ensuring that every student feels supported and empowered to reach their potential:

Caring- We foster kindness and empathy, helping our Little Cubs learn how to care for themselves and others.
Understanding- Through play-based and hands-on learning, we encourage curiosity and discovery about the world around us.
Unique- We celebrate each child’s individuality, creating opportunities for them to shine in their own special way.
Brave- Our program inspires children to take small steps toward big milestones, teaching them that courage leads to growth.
Successful- By focusing on early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills, we lay the groundwork for a lifetime of learning and achievement.

Edgewood Young 5 classrooms are filled with joyful learning experiences tailored to meet each child where they are. From exploring new ideas to practicing teamwork and problem-solving, our students are engaged in meaningful activities that spark a love for learning.

We are proud to provide a program where Little Cubs take their first big steps toward roaring with big dreams and growing into confident, capable learners.

Join us on this exciting journey as we help our Cubs grow and thrive!
