We’re thrilled to welcome you to the exciting world of 1st grade at Edgewood Elementary! Here, learning is an adventure, friendships are formed, and every child’s potential is nurtured. First grade is a year of growth, curiosity, and discovery—a time when children begin to truly see themselves as confident learners and compassionate members of a community.

At Edgewood, our 1st graders live by the CUBS principles, which shape who we are and guide everything we do:

Your child will dive into the wonders of reading, explore math problem-solving, and develop social-emotional skills that will prepare them for success. From hands-on science experiments to creative writing adventures, every day in 1st grade is filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and shine.
